Therapeutic Massage

Massage therapy is health enhancing through stress reduction, improved circulation, neuromuscular and mental relaxation, providing an increased sense of well being.  For the athlete or performer, massage is excellent for body integration, grounding and increasing body awareness, improving performance, preventing injury or aiding in rehabilitation.  Each session is tailored to your specific needs, integrating Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial and Medical Massage techniques.  The first treatment includes medical history, a consultation and full body treatment and lasts about 2 hours.  Follow up full body treatments are 11/2 hours.   Your treatment may qualify for insurance reimbursement with a doctor's prescription.

Equine Therapeutic Massage

Equine Massage Therapy provides these same benefits to your horse with the approval of your veterinarian.  Your horse is an athlete and may experience muscle tightness and physical discomfort that can result in resistance to the aids, shortening of stride, less than optimal performance and may result in injury.  Full body therapeutic massage addresses the needs of the interconnected movement of the equine body to restore freedom and ease of movement and aid in injury rehabilitation.  Your horse will feel good and be able to perform well.  The first session includes a movement assessment, palpation, a full body treatment incorporating therapeutic and sports massage techniques as well as stretching and lasts about 2 hours.  Follow up full body treatments typically last about 11/2 hours.
